Donors receive all or select Donor Shield protections if they participate in any of the following programs. For specifics on which Donor Shield protections are available for each type of living kidney donation, see Donor Protections.

All donors who donate through the National Kidney Registry’s Voucher Program are protected by Donor Shield.

All donors who donate at Donor Shield Direct Centers are protected by Donor Shield.

All donors who donate through the National Kidney Registry paired exchange program are protected by Donor Shield.
